Although, the wall I'm suggesting for the TV might get too much outdoor light depending on whether that window is facing east or west - so glare could be an issue at certain times. The chair rail (vestigial, but nice) would also be in the way of many mounting bracket designs. Overall, this room isn't a great layout for watching TV. My general thought is that people want to center their tv on the wall for esthetics and so they end up mounting too high. Or just simply don’t think about it while they are doing it and mount the tv at eye level while standing.
